Pasta Fagioli

1 lb extra lean ground beef (ground using the Mix N Chop)
2 boxes beef broth (8 cups)
3 cloves of garlic minced
2 cans diced tomatoes
1 small can tomato sauce
2 cans kidney beans (strained with the Can Strainer)
2-3 stalks celery chopped (chopped with the Food Chopper)
1-2 medium carrots chopped
1 medium onion chopped
1 1/2 tsp dried oregano
5-6 dashes of hot sauce
1 cup ditalini pasta

Brown the meat, add celery and carrots and saute for 3-4 min. Add onion saute until translucent, add garlic cook 1 min. Add broth, tomatoes, beans, tomato sauce, oregano, and hot sauce. Bring to a boil for 15 min. Add pasta, cook 8 min.

Makes 8 servings

  • I raided my pantry and was able to find all the ingredients to make this soup for dinner tonight. Very easy to make, and very delicious!
