Ragu 1-2 carrots finely chopped 1 medium onion chopped 4 celery stalks finely chopped 3 garlic cloves smashed and chopped 1 cup of wine (alcohol boiled off) 2 tablespoons olive oil 2 cans of diced tomatoes 3 28 oz cans of Marciano tomatoes ( put in food processor to puree) 1 1/2 Tablespoons Vegeta seasoning Fresh Rosemary and Tyme ( few sprigs tied together) Chop all veggies and Sautee with olive oil When onions start to get translucent add garlic.
Add wine (put wine in the microwave for about 2.5 minutes to cook off most of the alcohol - I usually use white wine) and cook at a high heat for a couple of minutes. Add all tomatoes and vegeta seasoning Add fresh Herb bundle and simmer for about 45 minutes. That's it....it tastes best with a mix of beef and pork! But low fat with turkey or chicken. I get the vegeta seasoning at world market or Amazon because it is imported.
